Pssst… this Cork coffee shop has a secret garden room with a play kitchen for your kiddos

Nobody needs a coffee more than a toddler parent.
But if your little tikes won’t sit still long enough for a mocha to cool so you can slug it down, there’s one café where you might even find you can enjoy your caffeine fix sitting down.
Clonakilty’s Green Dot café is a buzzy spot for a delicious breakfast or a hearty lunch, but towards the back of the dining room is a door to their lovely Garden Room, which is sure to delight anyone with kids in tow.
The cosy corner boasts a choice of comfy seating options, all surrounding a children’s play kitchen complete with cups and saucers, pots and pans and utensils; just enough to occupy busy little folk for a hot minute.

“We have made a cosy corner where you can relax and catch up with friends over a cuppa or brunch.” the Green Dot crew posted on Instagram.
“It’s the perfect place to get a proper breakfast while your toddler has fun making you something delicious at the play kitchen. There’s a large upright table where you can enjoy lunch or coffee and cake with family or have a meeting in a quieter setting.
“To get to the café, just walk through to the back of the gift shop, and the Garden Room is through the doors beside the coffee dock and cake counter.”
Both the café and garden room are open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-3pm, with breakfast served 10am-12pm and lunch available 12am-3pm. Coffee and cake are on offer from 10am-3pm daily too.
