Popular Cork café forced to close for the day

Bad news for Corkonians who love coffee.
The owner of the popular Idaho café on Caroline St. in Cork city centre has confirmed that the business will be closed for the day due to staff shortage brought about by sickness.
Mairead Jacob, co-owner of the café, which has twice won Best Café in Ireland at the Ireland Restaurant Awards, wrote on Twitter: “Staff out sick (not covid), have to close tomorrow. Enough of 2021 now.”
Idaho typically opens at 10am from Tuesday to Sunday each week, though for the time being it is not confirmed whether the coffee shop will reopen tomorrow.
