Planning a dinner date? This seaside spot has a two-night tasting menu

It’s been a long time coming.
But just in time for the gentle stretch in the evenings, we can finally enjoy a restriction-free dinner with as many mates as we like and that, friends, is something to celebrate.
A good way to mark the return of socialising past 8pm is to book a fancy dinner, ideally one teamed with lashings of good wine and loud conversation.
Down in Myrtleville, the Bunnyconnellan Coastal Restaurant is hosting just the thing; a Kitchen on the Rocks Tasting Menu served this weekend, Friday, January 28th and Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

With two sittings (one at 7pm, a second at 8pm) the five-course menu is a proper feast of locally-sourced goodies.
This week it’s turbot to start, served with dumplings and celeriac, king oyster with Jerusalem artichoke, monkfish served with mussels and squash, venison with beetroot and parsnip with hazelnut and brown butter.
Beats another pizza on the sofa. Call 021 4831213 to make a reservation.
