The GAA confirmed the decision today.

Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh will be used as a Covid-19 test centre in the coming weeks, as the HSE expects cases in Cork to rise in line with national increases.

Having cancelled all April championship games, the Cork GAA Twitter account announced the news this morning.

Cork GAA can confirm that Páirc Uí Chaoimh will be used as a Covid19 test centre. Further details will be provided by the HSE in due course.

The Park, located in Ballintemple, reopened after redevelopment in 2017 and is the fourth-largest Gaelic games stadium in Ireland. A similar set-up to the Croke Park ‘drive-thru’’ testing centre in Dublin is expected to be put in place.
