Planning your Sunday spin?
If a picnic lunch and live music alfresco sounds like a dreamy way to pass the day, make a beeline for East Cork this Sunday, August 8th.
Greywood Arts in Killeagh is hosting ‘Music in the Meadow’ from 1pm to 3pm, inviting people of all ages to bring a blanket, kick back and enjoy some live trad in their atmospheric walled garden.
The event will return on Sunday, August 22nd and September 5th, thanks to funding from the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme 2021 supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and Cork County Council.
Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy some live music in the walled garden at Greywood Arts.

“We’re kicking off on the 8th with local legends Mick & Mark playing their signature blend of trad, folk, ballads and country, followed by different music genres at each event.” said a Greywood Arts spokesperson.
As it stands, Met Éireann is predicting a dry, sunny day in the south with temperatures of between 15 and 19 degrees so let’s hope that holds out.
The event is free (donations are welcome) and no booking is necessary but contact information will be taken on arrival.
