Oooh look; there’s a new bubble tea shop on North Main Street

By Christina Collins March 23, 2022March 23, 2022

We can’t get enough of this stuff.

A new bubble tea shop has sprung up in the heart of Cork City and today seems like the perfect day to swing by for a bubbly brew.

Located on North Main Street, 18CTEA Cork is the fifth bubble tea spot to open in recent years and their menu is jam-packed full of fresh new flavours.

If you’re a fan of fruity tea, you can choose from all the usual suspects as well as exotic Peach Oolong, Lychee and Mango. You can also pick up Snow Ice teas and Bubble Water, both fruity infusions coupled with tapioca balls, the signature ingredient in bubble tea.

Health and wellness nuts will love the green matcha tea or any of the low-sugar options such as Original or Taro. And if you need a kick of caffeine, you can always opt for a Dalgona or a strong Coffee Cham.

IC8TEA Cork is part of a larger international franchise with shops in Dublin, Waterford, Wexford, Kells and Gorey too.

They first started out as a Taiwanese bubble tea store in Malaysia before coming to Europe in 2018. The bubble tea trend has really taken off recently in Cork, the drink is so popular in Taiwan that the government declared April 30th the annual National Bubble Tea Day.

Pop in on Wednesdays to avail of the two for one special.
