One of Cork’s best coffee brands opens a fifth location this Friday (6am)
Locals will be thrilled with this.
SOMA is getting ready to open its fifth city location in Wilton this Friday, with a stylish new café at Cardinal Way.
The new spot will open at 6am to cater for Cork University Hospital staff, serving fresh signature brews all day until 7pm seven days a week (6pm on Sundays).
“This shop is the coolest project we have worked on to date.” SOMA Director Paul Twohig told Yay Cork.

“We really made it feel like you’re not in Cork. Super minimal and industrial German was the look. We want to thank our continued customer base because this wouldn’t be possible without them.”
With the fifth shop ready to launch, Paul and the SOMA team, founders Damien, Irene and Alex, have plenty going on behind the scenes with a sixth location set to be added to their spots on Tuckey Street, Anglesea Street and The Black Market before the end of 2025.
“We’re looking forward to bringing specialty coffee to the people of Wilton for SOMA 5 and our next project already – SOMA 6- later this year.” he added.
