To be honest, we were lost without it.

When Alchemy closed the doors of its second city outpost in August, 2018, our strolls around the Lough were never quite the same.

Now things are looking up, and just in time for the longer evenings: there’s been a name change, but The Lough Cafe is reopening at the same spot on the Lough Road.

Exercise is no fun when there isn’t a lovely mocha or a sausage roll to look forward to at the end of it, but the business was forced to turn off the coffee machine and carry out important building work to cater for their growing clientele.

Now there’s a brand new building ready to welcome customers back inside the gates and word has it they’re firing up the boilers as we speak.

Sharing the excellent news with their legions of fans tonight on social media, The Lough Café posted:

“Hi all you lovely people. Remember us??? See you soon xx”

They haven’t confirmed an exact opening date (it’s expected to be within the coming fortnight) but keep an eye on their Facebook page for further updates.
