Okay don’t freak out but there’s a PROSECCO FESTIVAL happening in Cork

We can already feel the hangover.
The first ever Festival of Prosecco is happening in Cork in May, with a host of themed events that are guaranteed to be a ton of fizzy fun.
Organised in association with Tindal Wine Merchants, the festival will be hosted across The Metropole Hotel, Cork International Hotel and Cork Airport Hotel throughout the month.
Prosecco tasters, paired dinners, cocktails and masterclasses will lure bubble lovers from all over the country and whether you’re genuinely interested in where this magical tipple comes from and how it’s made, or you just fancy indulging in a few glasses with your mates, there’s an event to suit everyone.

The History of Prosecco – Prosecco Masterclass
May 10th, 2019, Metropole Tea Rooms
Guests will be welcomed with a Prosecco cocktail before tasting their way through four different types of Proseccos from the Perlage organic winery located in the Veneto region of Italy. Each table will also enjoy delectable cicchetti to finish the event.
The Festival of Prosecco Supper Club
May 24th, 2019, The Met at The Metropole Hotel
Indulge in a bespoke four-course meal with carefully prepared glasses of the finest Prosecco introduced by winemaker Elena Brugnera from the prestigious Perlage vineyard. The tasting will include Soraloc Prosecco Frizzante, Sgajo Prosecco Spumante DOC extra dry, Canah Prosecco superiore DOCG brut and Col di Manza Prosecco superiore DOCG.
