Now you can spend a weekend in this beachside Wanderly Wagon

Here’s a seaside stay with a twist.
If you grew up dreaming about what life would be like aboard the Wanderly Wagon, now you can find out for yourself down in Whitegate.
The Inch Hideaway Eco Camp has its very own version of the Wanderly Wagon available for sleepovers and while it can’t fly or travel underwater like the original in the TV show, it does have plenty going for it in terms of charm.
A school bus converted into a self-contained double-decker accommodation option, the wagon boasts two loft bedrooms accessed via a short ladder, a double bed in one loft and two single beds in the other.
Downstairs there’s a kitchenette with a fire stove, but guests are also welcome to use the communal kitchen (also known as the Hobbit Kitchen) in the on-site cob house, where you’ll find barbecues and an earth oven.
Set up beside a bubbling stream near the property’s vegetable gardens, and just a short stroll from Inch Beach, the Wanderly Wagon offers its own shower with hot water on demand, as well as an eco-toilet.
It’s dog-friendly too and there’s loads to keep you occupied, from relaxing around the fire pit after dark to chilling on the giant swing and see-saw in the gardens.
Animal lovers are guaranteed to have the time of their lives getting to know the residents on the camp, namely Shadow the dog, cats Rua and Mario, Gary the miniature pony, Doris, the potbelly pig and chickens, Curry and Nugget.
Sleeping four people at around €80 per night (two-night minimum), it’s pretty reasonable too. You can book via Airbnb here.
