Now you can grab a coffee in the gorgeous grounds of a Cork castle

By Katie Mythen-Lynch May 21, 2025May 20, 2025

Your new coffee kingdom awaits

Barryscourt Castle in Carrigtwohill, after a decade-long glow-up, has officially flung open its gates, and guess who’s there to greet you with a freshly brewed masterpiece?

The Tasty Bean mobile coffee dock is now serving at the stunning venue for summer, so you can enjoy your latte surrounded by centuries of history, with a backdrop of a stunning orchard and then roam the grounds for a leisurely stroll.

With hot and cold coffees, snacks, desserts and specials, it’s the ideal spot for spin or an al fresco meeting while the weather’s warm. You can bring a blanket for a picnic on the grass and take the dog along too – it’s a pet-friendly café.

“Tasty Bean is all about quality coffee, fresh bakes, and a warm welcome, served in charming, unique locations.” owner Konstantina told us.

“This summer, we’re bringing that experience to one of the most scenic and historic spots in Cork, with the castle reopening to the public after more than a decade of careful restoration. It’s truly one of the most scenic and peaceful locations in Cork, with a stunning orchard and castle grounds that offer the perfect backdrop for a great cup of coffee.”

It’s the kind of place where you can escape the daily grind, find a quiet spot under a tree, and just… be.

The Tasty Bean is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm at Barryscourt Castle.
