Cork artist Deirdre Breen has just unveiled her collaboration with Ceadogán Rugmakers and the five pieces in the collection are as much art as they are floor covering.
The collection, entitled Ripple Effect, is inspired by the beauty and infinite wonder of the circle ad will be officially launched at House 2019 in the RDS, Dublin.
Breen and fellow artist James Earley, who is famous for his magnificent stained glass pieces, worked with the brand to create a rug collection that ‘explores and expresses the most perfect of creative forms’.
“The making process has been a joy.” says the Cork-based designer and printmaker.
“Working with Denis and Fiona on colour interactions has been a really interesting and fulfilling process. Seeing the designs translated through a new material for the floor has been really energising and exciting.”
