New survey reveals average house prices in 21 Cork postcodes

Kinsale came out on top.
The GeoDirectory Residential Buildings Report Q4 2021 was published yesterday containing data regarding property prices in Cork, as well as information on new builds, and derelict houses.
The report showed that while nearly three-quarters of all new residential apartments are being built in Dublin, Cork is in a distant second place (7.2% of the national total). It also revealed that there were currently 1,448 derelict properties in Cork as of December 2021, which marks a 17.5% reduction since 2016.
Cork was also one of just six counties where the average house price is above €250,000 — along with Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Galway and Meath.
The report also featured a breakdown of average house prices by selected postcodes. Kinsale was revealed to be the most expensive postcode in Cork. 138 property transactions took place there in the last three months of 2021.
