Myles O’Reilly is taking his friends, films and songs on a World Tour of Cork

The Coughlan’s date is already sold out.
But limited tickets remain for musician and filmmaker Myles O’Reilly’s World Tour of Cork, which is stopping in a handful of cosy venues in February.
Since first lifting a camera in 2010, multi-tasking O’Reilly has filmed, directed, and edited over 100 music videos and more than 20 music documentary short films.
“I’ll be bringing a special show of film screenings, song, and nutritional ambient music to intimate venues across the Rebel County and its cousin,” said Myles.
“Accompanied and supported by pedal steel ambonaut Simon O’Reilly, we will also be inviting special guests from each locality to collaborate with us. Whether by instrument, spoken word, mime, dance or paint even, it won’t fail to be interesting.”

During the pandemic, Myles produced the first two albums in his critically acclaimed [Indistinct Chatter] series of minimal ambient recordings, Cabin Lights Off (2020) and My Mothers Star (2021), followed in 2022 by a collection of ambient folk songs titled ‘Cocooning Heart’.
His new album ‘An Ode To Soft Landings’, is described as “a peaceful and patient bath of sound in which to immerse and wind down”.
If that sounds like your kind of evening, you can see Myles perform live at Prim’s Bookshop, Kinsale, (February 1st), Coughlan’s Live, Douglas Street, February 2nd (SOLD OUT); DeBarras Folk Club, Clonakilty (February 3rd); and Phil Grimes, Waterford, on February 4th.
