Mountain Warehouse joins a wave of new stores opening on Cork’s Opera Lane

Brought to you by Opera Lane.
In-person shopping is BACK, baby.
And if you too are bored of shopping online and keen to try things on IRL, Cork’s premier shopping street is about to get even more choice as a wave of new stores open their doors.
The latest addition is outdoor clothing and equipment store Mountain Warehouse, which will be moving into the huge four-storey unit formerly occupied by Topshop on the Emmet Place side. Insiders say the brand, which has stores across Poland, Germany, Austria, Canada, New Zealand and the USA, is planning to open the Cork store in early 2025.
The new Mountain Warehouse outlet will be a concept store, unlike the brand’s ten other locations across Ireland, and will carry a curated selection of products from select brands as well as Mountain Warehouse ranges designed and produced in-house.
If you’re in the market for a new job, they’re currently recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager.
Opening soon
Also joining Opera Lane stalwarts H&M, New Look, Skechers, River Island, Office, Tommy Hilfiger, Therapie, Starbucks and Specsavers, Victoria’s Secret will be open in Unit 1, formerly occupied by Gap, in the coming weeks.
Bath & Bodyworks will also be open for the Christmas shopping frenzy, taking over Unit 2. This brand has been a popular fixture in the US for years, selling a fun selection of fragrances, soaps, shower gels, and other goodies that are bound to be a hit with Cork shoppers.
Top-selling collections include their fine fragrance mist, body lotion and body cream, three-wick candles, home fragrance diffusers and liquid hand soap.
