Montreal band Islands are playing their only Cork gig in a tiny bookshop by the sea

Tickets are flying for this one.
Montreal’s Islands will be playing an intimate gig in Prim’s Bookshop: Bibliotherapy in Kinsale on Sunday, April 28th, offering fans a front-row spot for a magical performance.
Formed following the break up of The Unicorns (of hyper-cult status) in 2005, Islands will be touring Ireland and the UK in April.
Their only Cork show will be at Prim’s, 43 Main Street and the April tour will be pared down to a duo, “emphasising and highlighting the intricacy of the songwriting and the intimacy of the vocals”.

“You should check them out. You should come to the gig. It’s going to be a belter.” said Simon Prim, bookseller and organiser of Book’d at Prims, which has just released a top-notch line-up for the coming months.
“I don’t think any of these shows will disappoint and all are now on sale.”
Islands tickets are €15 here.
