Midleton traders have a musical treat for visitors to The Square this month

Like a little background music as you shop?
Midleton traders have joined forces to arrange a little summer treat for their customers this month.
Throughout July, The Square, which is just off Coach Horse Lane, will be hosting a series of free Saturday afternoon gigs.
All performances are subject to the whims of the weather, but the hope is that shoppers will soak up the summer sun while enjoying the music, with performances starting at 12 noon.
On Saturday, July 8th, Imelda McCarthy will be on the fiddle and Tony Moore will be singing songs and playing guitar and mandolin.
Mid-month, on July 15th, Paudie Power will sing and play guitar, while on July 22nd, Erika O’Driscoll, and Tony Moore will captivate people with more songs, guitar, and mandolin.
“The Square is looking great, with the trees and our planters in full bloom so it provides a lovely outside venue for some craic and ceol,” said Ann O’Driscoll, owner of L’Atelier Stylist & Boutique on The Square.
“This is a combined initiative by all the traders on The Square and we invite young and old to come and enjoy some downtime in this car-free and welcoming space at the heart of Midleton.”
