Met Éireann says there’s ‘a fair amount of dry weather’ on the way for Cork

We’ll believe it when we see it.
But Met Éireann is predicting an end to the consistent rain and drizzle of late, with only shorter spells of rain and drizzle forecast.
If like us, you’re weary of the sideways rain drizzling under your umbrella and inside your raincoat hood, this is news to be celebrated.
Thursday will be cool and dry with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees with light to moderate northerly breezes.
As darkness falls it will be cold with clear spells, but with patches of mist and fog developing. Frost and icy patches will develop too with lowest temperatures of 2 to -2 degrees.
On Friday morning, frost, fog, and ice will gradually clear, revealing sunny skies.

Cloudier conditions will gradually extend eastwards through the afternoon and outbreaks of light rain and drizzle will develop in the northwest in the evening, but highest afternoon temperatures will range between 5 to 8 degrees.
Saturday will be mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells and perhaps one or two light showers and we’ll also enjoy a few rain-free hours on Sunday morning.
“The early days of next week look like having a fair amount of dry weather, but some rain or drizzle at times too.” added the forecaster.
