It’s not what you expect in January.
But it looks like we’ll be finishing out the month on a weather high, with Met Éireann forecasting much milder temperatures for the coming week.
“Wednesday will be a much quieter day overall with moderate to fresh westerlies soon decreasing light to moderate southwesterly.” said a forecaster.
It will be mostly dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, however, well-scattered showers will develop with highest temperatures of eight to 10 degrees.
Thursday will be dull and breezy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, and some heavy bursts as well as low cloud and mist too.
“Brightening up somewhat during the afternoon with rain and drizzle becoming patchier. Relatively mild and humid with highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees with a moderate to fresh south to southwest wind,” they added.
During the evening or early night, rain will move in from the Atlantic but Friday will be mostly dry with sunny spells and just a few well-scattered showers.
