Met Éireann is warning that thunderstorms might even bring hail this evening

It feels a bit warm for hailstones.
But we’re no meteorologists and Met Éireann is telling us a bit of hail is quite possible later this evening.
According to the national forecaster, we can expect a mix of cloud and sunny spells this morning with scattered showers developing.
“The showers will turn heavy, with thunderstorms developing for the afternoon and evening bringing the possibility of hail and localised flooding. Highest temperatures of 19 to 21 degrees in light, occasionally moderate, south to southwest breezes,” they added.
Tonight, the heavy showers and thunderstorms will ease, becoming mostly confined to Atlantic coastal areas though isolated showers may continue further inland. Temperatures are not expected to fall below 10 to 14 degrees with some mist or fog patches developing.
The thundery conditions will continue into Wednesday, but Thursday is expected to be the driest day of the week.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Met Éireann predicts that Saturday and Sunday will be generally unsettled with spells of rain and showers: “Warmer on Saturday with temperatures getting up to the mid-twenties before returning to the high teens or low twenties for Sunday.” they added.
