Met Éireann is promising a long overdue spell of sunny weather for Cork

The mist and fog are finally lifting.
Even by Irish standards, the weather so far this spring has been particularly dismal, and, quite frankly, we could all use a break from it.
Happily, Met Éireann says we can expect a pleasant day of sunny spells with only a scattering of showers to kick off the week, with more good news for the coming days.
Temperatures will stay between 13 and 16 degrees across Munster today and it will be dry with clear spells early tonight, with lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees after dark.
Low cloud, mist & fog will break up through the morning leaving another pleasant day of sunny spells & scattered showers. 🌦️
Highs of 13 to 18°C, best in the mid-west, away from onshore breezes along southern & eastern coasts, in light to moderate southeast breezes. 🍃 pic.twitter.com/OiU1Sz4IsE

“Any mist and fog will clear quickly through the morning to leave a mostly dry sunny day although a few isolated light showers are possible.” said a forecaster.
“Moderate easterly breezes will keep temperatures in the east between 11 and 16 degrees, coolest near east-facing coasts.”
According to the national outlook, it will remain mostly mild and dry with high pressure largely dominating from Tuesday to Friday.
It looks more unsettled towards the weekend so soak up some precious Vitamin D while you can.
