Met Éireann is predicting a rainy week in Cork (but at least it’s getting milder)

There’s a soggy few days ahead.
That’s according to the latest from Met Éireann, with forecasters predicting that “low pressure will never be too far from us in the coming week”, keeping our weather unsettled.
It will be cloudy with continued patchy rain and drizzle in Cork this morning, with more persistent rain on the way in the afternoon and occasional heavy falls possible later.
There will be spells of rain and showers, some of which will be heavy, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, right up until Friday and probably beyond into the weekend.
If there’s one positive this week it’s that the freezing winds have died down for now; it’ll be mild to start the week with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate southerly winds.
Tuesday will start off mild too, with a mix of scattered showers and sunny spells.
“Cloud will thicken from the southwest as the day goes on with rain gradually spreading northeastwards across the country. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate southwesterly winds.” said a forecaster.
