Met Éireann is forecasting a weekend of hail and thunderstorms

We’re used to getting drenched at this stage.
And this weekend is looking no different in Cork, with Met Éireann forecasting two days of regular showers interspersed with a scattering of hail and a risk of thunder.
The national forecaster is predicting a cloudy afternoon today on Leeside, with rain developing in the evening and highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
“Tonight outbreaks of rain will continue, turning persistent at times. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong on coasts.”
Saturday and Sunday too?
Yep.
Saturday is a mixed bag: “After a wet start tomorrow, rain will clear followed by sunny spells and scattered heavy showers in the afternoon.” said Met Éireann.

“Showers will merge to longer spells of rain at times with a risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.”
Sunday will likely bring widespread showers and longer spells of rain, with more hail and isolated thunderstorms.
There will be a few good sunny spells though, with mild November temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
