Lush has launched a luxurious new addition to its cult Sleepy cream range

Fans swear it has sedative effects.
If you haven’t yet dipped your fingers into a pot of insomnia-soothing Sleepy body lotion, these stressed-out times are the perfect opportunity to give it a shot – and now there’s a new way to feel the benefits.
The relaxing blend, which became a cult favourite after hundreds of customers hailed it as life-changing, is now available in Beauty Sleep; a face mask designed to be used as part of your bedtime routine.
The decadent purple mask, the brand’s “most indulgent ever” is composed of sleep-inducing lemon verbena and valerian root, hydrating mullein leaf and linseed decoction.
Beauty Sleep also contains gently polishing ground organic aduki beans. The sumptuous formula combines rich ingredients for the skin with herbs renowned for their sleep-inducing qualities and a dollop of Lush’s facial moisturiser, Gorgeous.
So how do you use it?
Lush co-founder and product inventor, Mark Constantine recommends removing make-up, splashing the face with water, patting dry and applying the mask for 10 minutes to give the ingredients time to soften and moisturise and the essential oils time to relax the senses before the skin has a gentle exfoliation from the aduki beans.
For an extra dose of self-care, apply it in the bath while you soak.
You can buy Beauty Sleep at Lush Cork on Oliver Plunkett Street, €16.
