Lovely week ahead in Cork as Met Éireann predicts settled weather and 23C sunshine

Now we’re talking.
Met Éireann kicked off the week with some good news for Cork on the weather front this morning.
With high pressure building again, bringing more settled weather, and temperatures increasing too, it looks like summer is back in business on Leeside after a dull couple of days.
Monday will be sunny and largely dry with highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees, rising to 19C by Tuesday, which will also be dry for the most part.
Wednesday will be cloudy but some bright and sunny spells will develop across southern and eastern counties later in the afternoon, with highs of 16 to 20 degrees.
It looks like Thursday is shaping up to be a bit of a mixed bag. We’ll see some cloud rolling in alongside sunny spells, with the best of the sunshine heading our way in the south of the county. Expect highs of 18 to 22 degrees.
Weatherman Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather is echoing the uncertainty past Friday, which will start off a bit cloudy with a chance of a few showers. Things might get a touch wetter later in the afternoon, with rain spreading across the whole county by evening.

But hey, at least it won’t be a washout; highs will be similar to Thursday, reaching 19 to 23 degrees with moderate southwesterly winds.
So there you have it, Cork – a changeable couple of days ahead, but with some sunshine and pleasant temperatures to keep us smiling.
