Good news, city workers.

One of Cork’s coolest breakfast, lunch and coffee spots is about to open a second outlet… and this one is smack bang in the middle of town.

Joes & Bros on Gilabbey Street is a favourite among folks who like their American-style pancakes served with good music, great coffee and a buzzy atmosphere.

Now the team has taken over the former EAST premises at the entrance to the Winthrop Arcade, with plans to create a Joes & Bros counter facing Oliver Plunkett Street.

The lads tell us that the menu will be similar in style to that of that Gilabbey Street restaurant (note: try the Joe’s White Chocolate Mocha and the New Yorker pastrami sandwich on sourdough).

The new venture is due to open in February.
