In Ballycotton, a shipping container has been transformed into a cute takeaway café

Due a spin to Ballycotton soon?
A new addition to the Sea Church collection of venues in the seaside town, Grab & Go is now open, serving coffee, sandwiches, sourdough pizzas and salads from an up-cycled shipping container.
Whether it’s a creamy cappuccino or a cold frappé you’re after, their signature Toasted Reuben (€6.50) or a Slow Roasted Pork Belly Ciabatta (€8), the new café is a handy stop following a stroll on the spectacular Ballycotton Cliff Walk nearby.
It’s also an ideal place to stop your teeth from chattering after a dip in the sea (known locally as the Men’s Bathing Area, you’ll find steps down to a rocky platform for swimming on your left going towards the Cliff Walk).
“For a quick bite while passing through or to sit down on the picnic benches taking in the sea view, the staff at Grab & Go freshly prepares our signature sandwiches, sourdough pizzas and delicious gourmet salads every morning for your tasting pleasure,” they announced on social media.
A selection of homemade scones and pastries is also available and Grab & Go will also be fully stocked with mouth-watering frozen treats by Cork pop pros Popsicle.
