If you love trees, cake and free coffee, keep Wednesday open

Looking for a treat to break up the week?
If you love trees, coffee, and cake, then get yourself over to Nano Nagle Place on Douglas Street on Wednesday, August 17th.
As part of National Heritage Week, Good Day Deli is joining Nature Talk host and native tree advocate Ray O’Foghlu from Hometree for an event entitled Ireland’s Native Woodlands – An Afternoon to Celebrate Ireland’s Tree Heritage in the beautiful conference room of Nano Nagle Place.
“If you love everything about trees and want to learn more about native trees in Ireland, you will hear from some of the leading voices and doers on the ground including Maria Young Green Spaces For Health, Catherine Cleary of Pocket Forests, Padraig O’ Tuama, a forester and Matt Green of Hometree,” they told us.

“Ray will kick off the event with a presentation on Native Woodlands in Ireland, followed by an open discussion with our expert panel.
“To close, Hometree will also be launching their beautiful book of essays and photos Under Summer Pastures in Cork, with light nibbles and natural wines from GDD.”
Arrive from 4:15pm for complimentary coffee and cake from Good Day Deli outdoors on the upper plaza. The event is free but you must register here.
