If you love Indian food, this bar is cooking up the Hump Day dinner of your dreams

India has arguably the best food on the planet. With simple ingredients, a long tradition of food appreciation, and recipes passed down from one generation to the next, every dish is next level.
The Lodge Bar in Myrtleville, known for its lovely staff, generous outdoor area, and exceptional views of the harbour, is also home to some seriously talented chefs.
This Wednesday, October 11th, The Lodge Bar team is showcasing their culinary skills and celebrating their diverse Indian culture.
Head chef Vikrant Naidu, who hails from the region of Pune, is leading the way, joined by his talented team members from Pune, Delhi, and Mumbai. Together, they will offer a diverse array of culinary experiences, taking diners on a journey through India’s rich heritage and flavours.
“We are currently engaged in a collaborative effort with local suppliers to feature Irish produce infused with an Indian-inspired flair at our upcoming event,” said chef Naidu.
“In this exciting venture, we have also invited Rebel City Distillery and they will be showcasing their local award-winning Maharani Gin and they will be crafting a selection of unique cocktails for our event, adding an enticing touch to the overall experience.”

“The event stands as a testament to the unifying power of food, bringing people together and highlighting the beauty of unity in diversity, a hallmark of India. It’s not just a meal; it’s a celebration of culture, a fusion of flavors, and an invitation to experience the incredible journey,” he added.
Diners can expect to find a variety of dishes on the menu including Kundapura’s Prawn Ghee Roast, Goa’s Pork Vindaloo bites, and Hyderabad’s Murgh Dum Biryani.
