How to give your feet a minty-fresh DIY LISTERINE pedicure

Let’s be honest; now that the winter boots and cosy socks are on 24/7, our previously perfectly pedicured feet have taken a grim turn.
Summer sandals and flip flops make the €50 splurge on a pedicure totally worth it, but what’s the point in shelling out on a professional buff and polish when nobody will even see the results?
Still, there’s no denying dry skin and cracked heels are gross so a bit of DIY TLC wouldn’t go amiss.
Step forward the Listerine foot treatment.
Yes really; the minty mouthwash contains the gentle exfoliating ingredient benzoic acid, which gives nasty dry skin the old heave-ho.
Here’s how to do it…
What you’ll need:
Listerine (minty is best)
White vinegar
Water
A pumice stone
Instructions:
- Add equal parts Listerine, warm water and vinegar to a large bowl.
- Pop your feet in and soak for 25 minutes.
- Gently rub your heels with a pumice stone to remove dead skin.
- Rinse feet in warm water, dry well and slather in moisturiser.
Voila; baby soft feet for less than €2. Bargain.
