Hop on the boat and grab a coffee at Sherkin Island’s new beach café

Every trip to Sherkin is an adventure.
The drive down, the boat over, the exploration of the island on foot… the ever so slight threat you’ll miss the last waterbus home because you’ve no reception and chronically bad planning skills.
So with all this adventuring and exploring, it’s good to know that even Sherkin Island has been hit with coffee-trailer mania and you’re guaranteed a prompt refueling if you venture away from the pier.
Blástafarian has just opened its hatch on the Cow Strand, located along the west side of the island, and is serving up tasty coffee, fruit salads, and toasties.

The name was inspired by the owner’s grandad, who was from Guadeloupe, and the all-Irish school they grew up attending.
You can enjoy your meal on the trailer’s picnic benches with gorgeous views of the ocean, soft sand underneath your toes, and gulls flying overhead.
Blástafarian is open from 11am to 5pm.
