Hooray! The afternoon tea bus is coming back to Cork for a ‘Spring Fling’

Tickets sold out in days during the summer.
But if you missed out on the Vintage Tea Trip’s last jaunt to Cork, there’s another chance to enjoy afternoon tea onboard the country’s comfiest bus this spring.
The 1960s Routemaster bus will be pulling up for a Spring Fling event on Leeside from February 28th until March 1st, 2020.
The afternoon tea menu will be freshly made each morning by Mags of The Pastry Fork and enjoyed by guests on a gentle spin around the city’s best sights.
Bliss.
“There’s something inherently Irish about tea and chats and so this idea of gentle gossip and the nostalgic nod to simpler times is what we try to evoke on board.” says Karen Nixon, who started the tours in Dublin in 2016.
“We cannot wait to come back to Cork. Our summer event in July was a complete sell out and since then we’ve been inundated with emails and messages asking when we’ll be returning.”
The fun doesn’t end when you hop off board. Vintage Tea Trips are once again partnering with the River Lee hotel to offer guests a glass of bubbles for €6 post tour.
The Cork Spring Fling will be running at 11am, 1.15pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, February 29th, 2020. At the moment the Sunday is held for private events such as hen parties, team outings and birthdays.
Pick up and drop off will be at the River Lee hotel and places are on sale now here.
