H&M is about to unveil a full refit on Opera Lane: Here’s everything to know

Brought to you by Opera Lane.
The new store opens on Thursday.
H&M has had a full refit on Opera Lane with a fresh new interior look and feel for the brand, including the hotly anticipated introduction of H&M HOME.
The new store, featuring both H&M and H&M Home, will open September 7th at 10am and there are plenty of reasons to nip over for a peek.
The first 100 customers in the queue on the morning will be offered a complimentary gift-with-purchase, and visitors will also experience some exclusive in-store activations on opening day.
What’s new inside?
Customers visiting will notice a new, welcoming interior, a relaxed environment where products are displayed in a “curated and inspirational” way.
There are also new click-and-collect lockers and self-service checkouts.
The H&M HOME Fall Collection includes a blend of pattern mixes, bold and curvy shapes, and a palette of captivating warm shades of pink, green, brown, and mustard.
Star buys include country-style patterned plates in pink, white, and green from just €7,99, and hexagon print everything, from shower curtains to cotton bed sets.
A first in Ireland
Cork shoppers will be the first in Ireland to check out the H&M Home concept; it’ll be launched first in the Opera Lane store.
“This will be the largest H&M store in the area, where customers can enjoy our curated fashion and interior collections in a newly designed space which celebrates style and creativity,” said H&M UK & IE Head of Expansion Klas Degeryd.
“We cannot wait to welcome our Cork customer to the new and improved store on September 7th at 10am.”
Lia Dennehy, Associate Director, Savills, is delighted with the expansion of the store offer: “This reinvestment in the Opera Lane store underpins the belief in Cork as a retail location.” Dennehy said.
“The calibre of the international brand H&M is known throughout the world and it is an indication of the success of Opera Lane that they have chosen to introduce their popular H&M Home collection to the Irish market here first.”
