Here’s where you can order an outrageously good Pizookie for your lockdown birthday

Okay, so the party might be postponed for a while.

But there’s no reason you can’t go all out when it comes to birthday cake during the lockdown.

If you’re about to have a special birthday or mark an important occasion during the Level 5 restrictions, a Pizookie could be just the thing to bring some much-needed surprise and delight to the table.

For the unfamiliar, a Pizookie is a sweet skillet pizza/cookie combo. The best place to get your hands on one in Cork is at Lab 82 on the Lower Glanmire Road.

The Lab 82 PieZookie is a decadent, gooey, crumbly creation involving your choice of Milky Bar, Biscoff, peanut butter or milk chocolate sauce over a brownie or biscuit base, topped with Kinder Bueno, hazelnut, marshmallow or Ferrero Rocher sprinkles.

Yum.

The 9-inch pie is €15 and you can place an order for collection at 82 Lower Glanmire Road, Cork on 021 451 8309.

If a PieZookie isn’t tickling your fancy, you can also order Lab 82’s Cheesecakes and Brownie Slabs from €35 and Mud Pie Tarts with a ‘Blondie’ or ‘Brownie’ crust and a secret flavour layer hidden inside from €40.

Even if you’re riding out the lockdown solo, they’re guaranteed to make your elevenses a celebration all week long.
