Met Éireann’s Status Yellow – Ice warning for Ireland kicks in at 6pm tonight, Monday, as winter returns for the coming week at least.
Forecasters have warned motorists and pedestrians to expect “hazardous conditions due to freezing temperatures including icy stretches on roads and paths.”
The weather warning is valid from Monday evening until 10am on Tuesday.

Monday night will be “very cold with lowest temperatures of 0 and -4 degrees leading to widespread sharp frost and possible icy stretches.”
Conditions will be nippy on Tuesday too as an Arctic airflow feeds down but there’ll be plenty of sunshine too, so it’ll be glorious weather for a stroll once you’re adequately wrapped up.
