Here’s the proposed timetable for the handy new Cork to Kinsale bus service

Need a spin to the gourmet capital of Ireland?
A new long-awaited daily bus service between Kinsale and Cork is set to be up and running in the next month.
It is expected that the private bus service, operated by West Cork Connect, will begin in the next three weeks, with the initial timetable now published.
The eagerly anticipated bus service will take pressure off the existing 226 Bus Éireann route, which is currently at capacity.
The Kinsale Connect 228 service will connect Kinsale, Belgooly, Riverstick, Fivemilebridge and Ballinhassig with CUH, UCC, and the city and will particularly benefit college students who will finally have a dependable way to get to lectures.
Leap cards will be accepted on the bus, along with OAP cards, cash, credit and bank cards.
If you fancy a trip down to the scenic harbour town, the service will leave Cork hourly from 7.30am Mondays to Fridays (9.30am at weekend) and it will depart Kinsale at 6.30am on weekdays. The last bus from Kinsale is 7.30pm on weekends.
