Triskel is giving Cork movie fans the chance to catch the trans drama A Perfectly Normal Family on Thursday, November 19th at 7.30pm and limited tickets are available now for free.
It’s all part of the third European Cinema Night, which takes place across the EU this week.
The film focuses on Emma (11) who has a perfectly normal family until one day it turns out her dad, Thomas (Mikkel Følsgaard, Oscar nominee A Royal Affair and Land of Mine), is transgender. As Thomas becomes Agnete, both father and daughter struggle to hold on to what they had, while accepting that everything has changed.
“We’re honoured to be selected once again to take part in this initiative, to be one of more than 70 cinemas across Europe who will be participating in the 2020 edition of the European Cinema Night,” said Chris O’Neill, Head of Cinema at Triskel.
“The aim is to reach more than 10,000 people who will celebrate together the richness of European films and we’re delighted to do our part.”
