It was a dull, chilly weekend in Cork.
But things are looking up for the week ahead, with Met Éireann forecasting a return to more spring-like temperatures.
First, it’s looking like a “cool, damp and mostly cloudy” start this morning, transitioning to high pressure from midweek onwards, bringing fine settled conditions across the country.
“Monday will be a cloudier day with rain spreading from the west to most areas during the day.” said meteorologist Emer Flood.
“Temperatures will be slightly up from the weekend too, with highs of around 7 to 10 Celsius.”
