There’s a new Christmas sandwich to try this week and trust us, this one is well worth the spin.

Monty’s Café in Midleton is teasing their Instagram fans with images of their brand new Christmas Toastie, available at the popular lunch and brunch spot for a limited time only.

Made on two slabs of Arbutus Bread slathered with cranberry sauce and spread with homemade stuffing, the festive sambo is piled high with roast turkey and brie or Timos cheddar before being grilled to crunchy, melty perfection.

If you get there super early or sandwiches aren’t your thing (weird, but okay), there’s a hearty new Winter Warmer Porridge on the menu too – Flahavan’s organic oats topped with tahini, poached apple with cinnamon and ginger, toasted hazelnuts, and date syrup.

Monty’s Cafe is open at Roxboro Mews, Midleton from Tuesday – Thursday 8.30am to 4pm, Friday 8.30pm to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.
