Head for Union Hall and take an alpaca on a morning walk to the beach

You won’t forget this in a hurry.
If you’re looking for ways to make magical memories with your kids or your mates this summer, there’s a quiet little farm in idyllic Union Hall that makes dreams come true for animal lovers.
Run by Benjamin and Anastasia von Ammon, who inherited the property from Benjamin’s grandfather, Alpaca Walk West Cork invites visitors to take their beautiful alpacas on a morning walk to the beach every day at 10.30am.
Guided by Benjamin, guests stroll the scenic coastal path down to the sand and into the water, meeting horses and sheep on the way during a two-hour experience that’s guaranteed to be filled with giggles and delight.
Benjamin and Anastasia also offer Alpaca Assisted Intervention for children with learning difficulties, behavioural issues, or special needs. Alpacas are incredibly friendly, intelligent, and calm animals (they even communicate in soft humming sounds) which makes them especially suitable for therapeutic work.
The Alpaca Morning Walk is €38 per person, walking with one alpaca, and €12 for one accompanying person. They also offer an Easy Afternoon Stroll and an evening meet and greet, as well as school and group tours.
To book your Alpaca walk, contact Benjamin on 083 067 0776, visit the website or email bvonammon@icloud.com.
