Brought to you by Airmedica.
The past three months have been rough on our hands.
Vigorous scrubbing takes a toll on your skin and with scrupulous hand washing more important than ever, now is a good time to consider a care plan for your lámha.
Named in honour of Airmed, the Irish goddess of healing, nature and family, Airmedica is a new Cork and Mayo-based brand that has listened carefully to the concerns of users. Now they’ve created a reasonably priced range of reliable, safe and nourishing products designed to strengthen the body’s natural defences.
The affordable formulas are made using Irish ingredients and every product is vegan and cruelty-free.

Airmedica’s 70 per cent alcohol Hand Sanitiser is a protecting and caring; hard on bacteria but soft on the skin. As we adjust to the new normal, we’re all looking for ways to make hand hygiene more convenient so it also comes in a handy one-use tube – ideal for popping in a handbag or school rucksack or keeping in your pocket.
Two new products join the line-up this week; Airmedica Cleanse hand wash (€3.50), is made with Centella for reducing inflammation and Fucus vesiculosus, a type of seaweed that draws moisture into the skin. Airmedica Protect hand cream (€5.99), is infused with avocado oil, mandarin oil and lavender oil to soothe and smooth hands with an invigorating blast of citrus fragrance.
Made in Cork
Owned by cosmetics manufacturers Cosmetic Creations who took over the old Yves Rocher site on Dublin Hill, Airmedica is now supplying the Irish market with 350,000 bottles of hand sanitiser a week, with thousands of these donated to Irish hospitals, charities and hospices during the crisis.
“We are delighted to launch our three-step Hand Shield process of Cleanse hand wash, Sanitise hand sanitiser and Protect hand cream, which is the first of its kind made in Ireland,” said Breffney O’Dowling-Keane, Market Development Manager at Airmedica.
“We are so proud that our hand sanitiser was used by frontline workers throughout the pandemic. We are now expanding the range so that people can protect their hands and their health while supporting Irish. With more and more products entering the market, consumers need to be sure what they are buying is effective. All Airmedica products contain the highest quality of ingredients and meet Irish and European quality standards.”
You’ll be seeing Airmedica’s wall-mounted hand sanitiser dispensers in lots of small independent businesses in Cork too – they’ve donated 40 units to local business owners to help ensure #CorkIsInSafeHands.
