Guests are raving about this ‘absolutely spectacular’ luxury rental in Kinsale
It’s as swish as it gets by the Cork seaside.
Nestled above an art gallery on Kinsale’s Pier Road is a tranquil holiday hideaway with panoramic views of the harbour.
The Other 43 is a luxury rental that regularly earns effusive guests reviews such as ‘exceptional’ and ‘spectacular’… and it’s available to book for that special getaway or milestone birthday.
Host Anna Mulcahy grew up in rural Cork but her studies and career took her further afield, often staying in luxury hotels from Tel Aviv to Tokyo.
Developing The Other 43 as a luxury rental has been a labour of love, with Anna choosing the best Irish craft, and local, sustainable products to complete an extensive redesign internally.
There’s also an interesting story behind the name:
“It was a long and challenging journey (which I would probably have given up on many times) except for, on one viewing with my brother Tom he noticed the number on the door being 43, and said ‘This is meant to be, it’s the Other 43’.
“I live on 43 Main Street (Kinsale) and hadn’t even noticed the matching numbers.” says Anna.
Inside, a host of treats await, from eco-friendly products to complimentary KeepCups for you to use while you grab your morning coffee from the many independent coffee shops on your doorstep.
The main living area is complemented by two bedrooms, each with its own character. The master bedroom has a full-size en suite bathroom and boasts water views, whilst the downstairs bedroom is occupied by custom-built full-length bunk beds.
Slide open the full-length feature glass door and walk out onto the terrace to watch the world sail by.
The Other 43’s duvets and pillows have been ethically produced by Baavet, in Co. Meath from the fleece of sheep, and the atmosphere is enhanced by the enchanting aroma of local perfumery La Bougie.
There’s an Aga stove for cooking but a private chef can also be arranged to whip up a memorable meal during your stay.

In the meantime, there’s a hamper of local snacks to enjoy as you kick back and watch the boats bobbing on the water beyond your feet.
The Other 43 is available to book for a selection of dates this summer at €700 per night (three-night minimum).
