Graham Norton’s delish new gin was inspired by his Cork home

Angelica, fuchsia flowers, rose hip, fields of Irish grain…
You’d be forgiven for thinking we’re making a list of iconic sights to spot from the car window en route to West Cork.
In fact, these are just some of the ingredients in Graham Norton’s brand new gin, inspired by the scents and scenery of the Rebel County coast.
Following on from the success of his award-winning GN Wine range, which includes a (fantastic) Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Rosé and Prosecco, the TV star and novelist has hit the bottle once again, creating an Irish gin which celebrates the beauty and unique flavours of his home county, where he spends summers at his property in Ahakista, near Bantry.
Distilled locally in Skibbereen and produced using 100% Irish grain, Graham Norton’s Own Irish Gin (€39 on the shelves in SuperValu now) draws its flavour from a combination of 12 botanicals including angelica, fuchsia flowers, orris roots, rose hip, basil and liquorice root.

In fact, the flavours are so unique that the gin is best served simply with Indian tonic water, ice and fresh lime to garnish. And who are we to argue with Graham Norton?
We’ll be getting a bottle in ahead of his Friday night chat show.
