Get some fresh air and help spruce up Cork’s lovely Beaumont Quarry

It’s a good time of year to give back.
And if you want to pair some good vibes and fresh air with a little light exercise, the organisers of an upcoming event are looking for volunteers.
Cork Nature Network is continuing its mission to preserve Beaumont Quarry with a clean-up event. The next group effort is scheduled for Saturday, November 23rd from 11am to 1pm.
“Following the successful clean-up efforts in October, Cork Nature Network is again rallying volunteers to help maintain this vital habitat’s cleanliness.” a group spokesperson said.
“Beaumont Quarry is home to unique native flora and is an important habitat for a diverse range of animals and insects. By clearing litter from the site, volunteers will contribute to preserving this green space and ensure its future for generations to come.”

Participants are encouraged to meet at the top of the path leading into the quarry, where they will find Cork Nature Network members and signage. Gloves, bin bags, litter pickers, and other tools will be provided to all volunteers.
