Friendly collie ‘Jazz’ has been waiting over two years to find a forever home

We love a good happy tail.
But sometimes, stories break our hearts a little. Meet Jazz.
This gorgeous girl, a collie mix with a heart of gold, has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting for someone to pluck her from the shelter. For two whole years.
Jazz is around nine or 10 years young, and her foster carers at Cork Dog Action Welfare (DAWG) say she’s a dream. Inside the house, she’s the perfect companion. Chilled out, loves a good snooze in her cosy bed, and just generally a lovely, calm presence. But outside, well, Jazz is a country girl at heart.

Like many collies, she’s not a fan of the hustle and bustle of busy traffic. And she’s a bit selective about her canine friends too. A quiet walk in the countryside is her idea of heaven.
DAWG is putting a call out to the amazing Cork animal-loving community: “Jazz takes time to trust but is a very loving and loyal girl once she gets to know you. Jazz is fully housetrained. She adores her walks and runs especially on the beach. Older children for Jazz and an enclosed garden necessary.”
Someone out there must have the perfect spot for Jazz. A quiet home, a loving owner, and maybe some lovely countryside walks.
If you think you could be Jazz’s happy ending, reach out to the DAWG team here.
Let’s give this lovely lady the home she deserves.
