Fried Chicken meets Champagne at this wine bar’s genius pop-up
They had us a fried chicken, TBH.
But then they came back, the sneaky little culinary geniuses at MacCurtain Wine Cellar and The Glass Curtain, adding an irresistible fizz of bubbles to the proceedings at their next pop-up event.
The VQ bar and their neighbouring restaurant are joining forces to host a Fried Chicken and Champagne night at their deliciously cosy eatery (and drinkery?) on Sunday, December 8th, 2024.
The fun begins at 4pm (it’s ticketed so make sure you book ahead) when you can find a seat by one of the best people-watching windows in town and settle in for a fabulously chic little evening.
Guests can devour friend chicken by the box (choose from Dark Meat -a leg, thigh, wing and chicken gravy -€12, Tenders served with pickled jalapeno and ranch – €12 or Buffalo Artichokes with Cashel Blue and celery – €10, while choosing bubbles from the Champagne menu (by the glass or bottle) or fine wines to wash down all that juicy, crunchy chicken.

Tickets for Fried Chicken and Champagne at MacCurtain Wine Cellar, Mac Curtain Street, Cork City go on sale on Saturday, November 30th at 12pm.
