Four delicious Cork Christmas coffees to buy now for those chilly mornings

Brace yourselves, coffee lovers.
We’re about to sleigh the festive season with a jolly jolt of holiday cheer.
As winter winds start to nip at your nose, there’s nothing cosier than wrapping your hands around a steaming cup of Christmas magic.
So, we’ve embarked on a caffeine-fueled quest to uncover the most delightful, sip-worthy Cork Christmas coffees that will have you decking the halls with joy.
STONE VALLEY COFFEE ROASTERS
At Clonakilty’s Stone Valley, this year’s music-themed Christmas coffee, Let All the Children Boogie, is a flavour bomb of apple crumble, milk chocolate and caramel.
Just like last year they’ve teamed up with Bumbleance so €1 from every bag sold will support the amazing work they do.
You can pick it up from them in person at the 35 Ashe Street café in Clonakilty or order a bag of Stone Valley Christmas Blend, €13, here.

BADGER & DODO
Nothing says Christmas in Ireland like putting on a warm Christmas jumper and getting cosy next to the fire over a brew; this is what the Badger & Dodo Christmas Blend is all about.
“Everyone has their own traditions around the holidays, and we are no different,” they told us.
“Whether we like it or not, the holidays are in the air. What better way to get into the spirit than to brew a stellar cup of coffee with cupping notes that take you there? With notes of cherry and dark chocolate, this blend is a dead ringer for a holiday favourite, Black Forest Gateau!”
You can order the new Badger & Dodo Christmas Blend, €13.88, here.

SOMA
This year’s special Soma Christmas Coffee is their first ever blend. A harmonious mix of 25% Colombian Mira Flores and 75% Brazilian Santa Cruz beans.
“In 2022, we traveled directly to the Brazil coffee farms of Fazenda Santa Cruz to source these exceptional beans.” they told us.
“The Santa Cruz variety offers a rich, full-bodied sweetness, characteristic of high-quality Brazilian coffee. It’s balanced perfectly with the Mira Flores from Colombia, which introduces a lively brightness and vibrant acidity to the cup.”
Tasting notes include orange peel, hazelnut and Belgian chocolate. You can nab this on in SOMA cafés and online.

WEST CORK COFFEE
“The aim for us this year was to provide an exceptional single origin coffee for the festive season, which will also make a special gift for Christmas.” the West Cork Coffee crew told us.
“We discovered this varietal while cupping coffee’s from the El Placer Project. Over the past few years, there has been a growing trend of using rare coffee species and arabica varieties in World Coffee Championship (WCC) routines. While the highly-prized Gesha variety has long been a favourite of many competitors, more and more of them are now choosing lesser-known coffees.
“One of these coffees is Sidra (also known as Sydra or Bourbon Sidra). It is becoming increasingly prominent at WCC events – and was notably used by the 2019 World Barista Champion Jooyeon Jeon in her winning routine and the 2022 World Barista Championship.”
With notes of blackberry, orange and plum, the West Cork Coffee Christmas Blend is available now from €20 here.
