For Rioja fans, this movie screening and wine tasting is a dream afternoon

This is the kind of immersive film experience we applaud.
A Cork Film Festival screening of the captivating documentary Rioja: The Land of a Thousand Wines (Rioja, La Tierra de los Mil Vinos) will be followed by a Rioja Wine Masterclass with delicious bites to match at L’Atitude 51 on Union Quay.
Directed by several times Goya Award Winner and Emmy Nominated José Luis Lopez-Linares, through stunning photography, careful editing and immersive music, the film explores the vibrant evolution of the Spanish wine industry.
Lopez-Linares shows the interaction between new generations and the historic wineries of Rioja, and highlights the relationship between the tradition’s origins and its powerful appeal on the international scene.

Later, cinemagoers have the option to take a journey through Spain’s most celebrated wine region with a Rioja wines masterclass hosted by Beverley Mathews at L’Atitude 51.
“Exploring a variety of styles from youthful fruity wines to the more serious and complex oak-aged wines that Rioja is famous for, discover how time, oak, and craftsmanship shape each bottle’s story.” say the organisers.
“Beverley will guide you through a tasting of select wines served with accompanying appetisers from the highly regarded L’Atitude 51 kitchen.”
The film screening begins at 12.30pm on Saturday, November 8th. Tickets are €12.50 (film only) and €61 (film plus wine tasting and bites at L’Atitude 51. Booking is open now here.
