“My favourite thing was the big stage. I waved at my mammy, and she clapped so much!”
Take it from Sean, age four – SummerSING! is a children’s music festival that leaves a lasting impression on all its lucky participants.
And this year, the event, which combines music, singing, and creative expression in a whirlwind of fun from July 14th to 18th, is going even further to ensure all Cork kids get a chance to participate.
For every child enrolled in the festival, the organisers create a place for a disadvantaged child for free.
A unique journey for your little ones
SummerSING! is not just a music festival; it is an event that embodies essential values of inclusion, education, and solidarity. The festival offers children aged from five to 15 the chance to experience a unique artistic journey, while also providing opportunities for those who need them the most. The innovative principle enables young people from less privileged backgrounds to take part in this cultural adventure.

Under the artistic direction of Sinéad Dunphy, SummerSING! stands out for its commitment to making art accessible to all and allowing children to flourish, express their personalities, and build their self-confidence. This festival goes far beyond simple musical initiation; it is a true springboard for self-discovery, cooperation, and leadership.
“By engaging with disadvantaged children, SummerSING! gives them a chance to participate in an event they might never have had the opportunity to experience otherwise.” Dunphy told Yay Cork.
“Children benefit not only from the guidance of experienced professionals but also from the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops, create an original song in a recording session, and perform in a final show at a prestigious venue in Cork. This model embodies a humanistic approach that places inclusivity at the heart of the project.”

SummerSING! proves that music and art are powerful tools to bring people together, educate, and strengthen children’s self-esteem, while offering them a chance for personal growth, regardless of their background or social situation.
Take it from Fionn: “I wrote some lines for the song, and hearing everyone sing them was the best feeling ever. I
can’t believe I helped make that!”
