For Cork parents deep in their Night Garden era, this might be the gig of the year
This is big, parents.
If your household regularly falls silent at the mere mention of “Igglepiggle,” prepare yourself.
In the Night Garden Live is heading to Cork Opera House on Tuesday, June 9th, with three performances at 10am, 12pm and 3pm — thoughtfully scheduled around snack time, nap time and the mysterious window in between where toddlers are briefly agreeable.
The live show, Igglepiggle’s Busy Day, promises to bring Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and the whole gang off the screen and onto the stage in full-size costumes, complete with magical puppets, familiar songs and — yes — the Pinky Ponk soaring overhead.
The plot? Igglepiggle is searching for his friends by following their funny sounds. Riveting stuff.

Tickets range from €19.50 to €34.50 (booking fees apply), and pre-sale begins Wednesday, February 25th at 10am, with general sale opening Friday, February 27th at 10am via corkoperahouse.ie or the box office.
Will your toddler sit still for the entire show? Unclear. Will their face light up the second they spot Upsy Daisy in real life? Almost certainly.
